The dedication of the memorial. 

The Premier Will Hodgman will light the flame using the RSL ANZAC Torch.

A flame is widely accepted as a symbol of eternal life. A flame at a war memorial symbolizes a nation's perpetual gratitude towards, and remembrance of, its war dead. 

The dedication will also include the HMAS Canberra crew, 12th/40th Battalion, Army Band and C Squadron and  3rd Light Horse Regiment re-enactors.
