Description

A travelling Portrait Exhibition of the Tasmanian Victoria Cross Recipients. The connection between Tasmania and the military started with the first settlement in 1803 and has grown over the past 212 years. From the Boer War to Afghanistan, Tasmanians have defended the freedoms of people in wars, conflicts and peace keeping operations. The men of Tasmanian have proven their patriotism and shown they are capable fighting men; men of great courage and daring. The 14 Tasmanian Victoria Cross recipients are representing them all. VENUES: Hobart - ABC Studios 5 - 10 July. Launceston - Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery 11 - 17 July Devonport - Quality Gateway Hotel 18-25 July. The exhibition is open from 10am - 5pm each day.
