Description

No-one will ever know what made him do it. While his mates were desperately evacuating their sinking warship, Teddy turned back to his 20mm anti-aircraft gun and went down with the ship firing at the swarming Japanese aircraft. He was a young Tasmanian determined to do his best to save his mates, in an action worthy of a VC. No member of the Royal Australian Navy has been awarded a Victoria Cross. Of the 100 by 2016 awarded to Australians, 96 are to the Army and four awarded to the Air Force. This book focuses on a naval sailor who should have received a VC. Dr Tom Lewis OAM is the award-winning author of over a dozen books. He is a decorated combat veteran and proud Tasmanian. Meet Dr Tom Lewis OAM at the launch of Honour Denied at Fullers Bookshop.
