Description

At 11 pm on 4 August 1914, Britain declared war on Germany. As a result, Australia also entered the war, which would see many lives lost and many more injured.

To mark this occasion, the State Government, in conjunction with the Tasmanian Council of Churches, has organised an ecumenical service: A Service Marking the Centenary of the Declaration of the Great War, which the Tasmanian community is invited to attend.
