Battle of Britain Commemorative Church Service

The anniversary of the Battle of Britain honours all members of the Royal Australian Air Force and our allied forces who have given their lives for their countries, not just in the Battle of Britain itself, but in all conflicts past and present.

The Battle of Britain officially lasted from 10 July to 31 October 1940. It was the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces, and was also the largest and most sustained aerial bombing campaign to that date.

A wreath laying service for the Battle of Britain will be held at the Hobart Cenotaph on Sunday 14 September 2014 at 10.45 am.
