Description

Choral Productions Tasmania Inc. – the Lincoln Singers, Southern Voices and Men in Black – together with the Australian Army Band (Tasmania Division) present this ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ event.

The concert will feature songs of love, loss, leaving and homecoming, including Eric Bogle’s ‘And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda’, the evergreen ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’ and the beautiful New Zealand song ‘Now Is the Hour’ (in English and Maori), sung on the wharves in New Zealand to farewell the soldiers in 1915.

The MC will be John X.

Guest performers will include:

  • Nicole Simms Farrow and Scott Farrow
  • Australian bush poet Phil Rush
  • Tasmanian composer Garry Paige with his ‘In a Field in France’ (the story of his great-great uncle who died in World War One)
